This new feature is in the BETA TESTING phase.
Meaning, it's really messed up! But it's a step in the right direction for us to be able to upload photos flawlessly.
Keep checking here to see how we are doing.
You can help us get it right by trying to upload your photos!
Use this thread to let us know how it works for you, if it works for you - and we will improve it from there!
It is currently only available on our Full-Site theme, or IOS6+ devices on our mobile theme(I think, somebody let me know if you see an option on our mobile theme!)
Here's how you do it!
on our Full-Site theme (which is terrible on mobile devices right now, I know)
Use the 'Insert Image' button on the editor, which should give you the option to upload your pictures from your computer.
Then just locate your picture, and upload it!
NOTE:
What you see after you click the button, and how it works, is subject to change frequently during our beta testing phase.
Known Issues
This section will be updated with current issues and allowed photo upload properties.
- Can't Upload?
The Image Upload System is Currently Enabled but Restricted to Certain Image Sizes
Check these settings compared to your pictures!
Photo Max Dimensions: 640w x 480h (in pixels)
Allowed Formats: jpg gif png bmp
Max File Size: 3.5mb
- Images Can NOT be Resized Automatically
We had this working so you could upload any size image, and we would reduce it to the allowed limits. A bug surfaced from this module causing unresponsive editors for some members, so it had to be disabled - pending further testing.
- No Copy/Paste Image From Computer
You can NOT copy and paste images from your computer, into the editor...
It makes the forum Gods very unhappy. So just, don't do it. Copy and paste from other websites should still be ok.
